Some practical advice on ways to stop being repossessed

I own my own house and work full time. I have a few kids, but me an my partner have seperated. we both live together but I want to move in with my parets as she will not move out, i can not make her as she is on the mortgage with me, but she does not work yet i pay all the bills. To avoid repossession of my home, i want to move ito my parents ad stop paying all bills and only pay the mortgage. If I inform the council tax office I live with my parents now who get full housig benefit due to disability, will I need to pay towards there rent or council tax. I am hoping my ex will have trouble and move out. please help I do not know what to do.

Take it one step at a time bud. Are your parents asking you to pay their taxes? Let them pay for as much as they can since its their house. You do your part when they ask you to pay your fair share. If this goes smoothly, then all you have to do is worry about paying the mortgage on your house.

If you move in with your parents then their benefits would be affected as your income would be considered as part of the ‘pot’. So in effect yes you would have to pay towards rent and council tax.
